Emily was the 3rd guest to arrive in Silent Hill. She came looking for her husband Marcus. Read her messages:

"***** I know you think im crazy coming up here and maybe I am. But after the letter I received yesterday, I couldn't just hang around anymore. I need to know if these are really from him. I can't act like this is all just some idea of a sick joke. No one knows about the book we made as kids apart from me and him. I'm here now anyway and ill be back soon I promise. It took a while to get here. I had to stop off over night at a nearby motel. When I woke up it was so foggy. I had to drive really slow which added more time. Hopefully the weather will be better when I come back. I just need answers ***** I need to know if hes here. Please don't be mad. Ill text you again later I promise xxx"

"***** so far no luck. This place is a ghost town. No one is here. I know there was a fire or something here years ago but I thought the place was still ok. I thought I saw someone earlier but when I went to check it was just a mannequin. So stupid. I need to get to the hotel but the road is blocked. There has to be another way. Are you mad at me? You didn't reply to my message yesterday? Xxx"

"I went into the police station today. Hoping they would be able to help me out but when I went in only a man was sitting in the waiting room. No one else. I had to look twice at him. As at first I thought it was Marcus. You should see him ***** he looks just like him. I spoke to him for a while he said his name is Mark. I asked him for directions to the hotel. Im going to make my way up there now. I have to take a short cut past the hospital. I know you're mad at me ***** but just so you know im ok Im still going to text you. Even if you don't reply"

"there was this girl. She knows Marcus. She gave me a letter before telling me that I'd never loved Marcus. Before I could even say anything she ran off. It's another letter from him. I'm in the hospital at the moment. I fell trying to run after that girl. I can see a nurse. it's gone so dark outside. I swear I can hear.......

"I have no idea what happened. I could see the hotel. I found it James. The one you and Mary went to on your honeymoon. I was walking closer and closer to it and then the next thing I know. Im waking up in a hotel room. My head hurts and im locked in here. I think I was attacked.
I miss you James. Im sorry I came here.
How is Mary doing? Is she any better? When im back ill come right round and see you both. I promise. I promise that ill be there for you. Like you've been there for me. Its been two years today since he died. Im so close to where he said he would be that its as if I can feel him. I know that the outcome to this will most likely be not what im expecting. But if you had the chance to see the person you love again? To see them and be with them and hold them, kiss there lips and just love them again. Wouldnt you go for it? Knowing hes right across the lake is keeping me going. I can hear the water. The fog outside is thick. I keep crying James. I keep crying as its so close now. I can't believe I nearly forgot. Theres a video tape here. The strangest thing is its a video of you and Mary. Mary seems so happy. She looks so full of life. Shes talking about you bringing her back to silent hill someday. Maybe you could do that when she's better? Ill hold on to this and give it to you when im home. I don't care what happens now. As long as I get across the lake.

"I heard footsteps and the next thing I know the door unlocked and she came in. This woman walked in the room. Said had heard me calling for help. Apparently I had collapsed and she found me. Brought me here but locked me in as she wasn't sure who I was. She said her name was Maria. Before she left she said something I don't understand. I asked her where I could find Harold so I could get across the water and she laughed and then said "Harold isn't apart of this silent hill. He left before it all ended. You need to find your own way. After all I've already kept them away a best as I can. It's James I'm after, not you" before I could say anything she ran. When I went after her she had gone. It was as if she just vanished. James do you know her? Who's Maria?"

"I couldn't find Maria after she dissapeared. I searched that Hotel from top to bottom. Most of the doors were locked or broken so whether she was in any of those rooms ill never know. I thought I heard a girl crying from one of the rooms but when I went to go check the noise stopped and the room I heard it from was empty. Hows Mary doing? Is she any better? Has something happened James? Is that why you're not replying? I hope you're both ok. I don't understand what Maria meant when she said "Ive already kept them away as best as I can" Kept what away? Those things? And she knows you James. Who is she? Im about to cross the lake. There was a rowing boat tied up at the pier. Ill text you when im across the otherside. Please reply James. Just once. "I went into the house. The llights were on and I just walked in. There was our book on the table. We made that book as kids. It was a story we had made over the summer together. We stuck leaves and everything into it to make it more fun. Just a stupid story about a man who had lost his wife and he went to find her and his adventures along the way. Im so stupid.
I couldn't find him downstairs so I went upstairs. The door at the end of the hallway was locked but I could hear a radio or something playing. So I searched the house and eventually found a key. It fit the door.
I walked inside to be greeted by a radio playing a piece of piano music. When the song finished the radio just cut out. I sat on the bed in the room and noticed two letters on the dressing table. One address to me.
It was from Marcus.
He died years ago James. I knew this. Ive always known but part of me just can't let him go. Im going to head back soon. I can't stay here. Not without him. I know he said in his letter he is with me but living here wouldn't be good for me. I think im going to atleast stay the night though. Just once.
I miss him so much. So so much. After all this I know I need to move on with my life. I can't keep holding on to this. He's gone. I will always love him, I know I will. Ill never love anyone else like I love him again. But its time for me to move on and be happy again.
