Heather MasonHeather Mason is a 17 year girl and adopted Daughter of Harry Mason. The lead character in Silent Hill 3 she must escape the darkness of Silent Hill and stop Claudia Wolf from birthing a god. Her father Harry Mason from the original Silent Hill also makes an appearance in Silent Hill 3.
Vincent SmithVincent Smith is the priest of the order and has helped in building and controlling the finances of the church. Although a mysterious character Vincent does indeed help Heather with her task of stopping Claudia. On several occasions he gives Heather directions and materials that she needs and even tries to convince Claudia himself to not go ahead with the birthing of god.
Leonard WOlfLeonard Wolf is the father of Claudia Wolf. He has been banished to the Brookhaven hospital and is considered mental by 'The Order'. When Heather receives a phone call from him he tells her that he has the Seal of Metatron which can be used to stop the birthing of the god. Heather has to find Leonard in the hopes of stopping Claudia. Although within the game you never see the human form of Leonard, he does appear in the film before being transformed into the monstrous creature he is in the game.
I love experiencing Silent Hill from Heather's perspective and seeing her transformation after everything she goes through." - Jill Schrader |
Claudia WolfLeader of 'The Order', Claudia Wolf wants to birth a god and bring 'Paradise' to this world. She believes a god born from such anger and darkness would not wish to create a matching world and she believes this god would create a world free of all evil. She was abused by her father, Leonard Wolf who she despises.
Douglas CartlandDouglas is a private detective hired by Claudia to find and bring Heather to Silent Hill. When Douglas finds out that Claudia has lied about Heather he continues to aid Heather within Silent Hill.
Robbie the rabbitRobbie the rabbit is a large pink rabbit that is found in several places within Silent Hill 3. Mainly at the Lakeside Amusement park in which large versions of Robbie are seen on the floors and benches of the park. The larger versions appear to be costumes with blood around the mouth and chest. Presumably the wearer is dead inside.
Robbie also appears in doll form. Although he plays no real part in the game it does seem like he is watching the player. Robbie also features in other games including Silent Hill: Homecoming and Silent Hill 4. He is also featured in the sequel to the original Silent Hill film, Silent Hill: Revelation. |
SlurperThe slurper appears to have human legs but with large stump like arms. Its head is long like an ant eater. They attack in several ways. They can knock their victim down by charging into them and then stomping onto them. They can also bite the legs of their victim to either kill or cause the victim to fall down.
Numb bodyThe Numb Body can be found in various sizes and in many locations around Silent Hill. Easily avoidable, they do attack in groups. Their only method of attack is 'head butt' their victim. When found in groups they are more dangerous. Better to avoid than waste ammo.
A similar creature can be found in Silent Hill: Revelation however this creature has more of a human like appearance. Memory of alessaThe Memory of Alessa is another boss that Heather has to fight. Memory of Alessa is found waiting for Heather in the Amusement Park. Waiting at the Carousel for Heathers arrival she attacks right way. Heather must 'kill' Alessa three times before she is finally defeated. The Memory of Alessa only attacks because Claudia tells her of Heather having the new god inside of her and Alessa must stop the birth of this god.
The memory of Alessa also appears in Silent Hill: Revelation, also in the same scene but no fight endures. |
Split WormThe Split Worm is the first boss Heather must kill. Although not the most difficult of bosses Heather must kill the Split Worm to return to the 'normal' world. Found in the basement of the Central Square Shopping Centre the Split Worm's heads split open to reveal a large mouth which protrudes from the opening in its head. It attacks by hitting the ground to cause a small quake like attack and can lunge out to bite its victims.
A sort of tribute to the Split Worm is created in Silent Hill: Revelation. The Mannequin Spider in the film has a head that is also split vertically down and opens to reveal the same characteristics of the Split Worm. CloserVery similar to the Mandarin from Silent Hill 2, the Closer attacks by swinging its club like arms around. They can also attack by using a blade like weapon that appears from the tips of their 'arms'. Their first appearance is in Heather's nightmare.
MissionaryThe Missionary is once again a Boss in Silent Hill. Ordered by Claudia to kill Heather. He can attack using the large blades he carries in both hands. The Missionary is fast not only in movement but also at deflecting bullets and attacks. Heather must fight him on the rooftop of her and Harry's home, the Daisy Villa Apartments. The moment before this battle Heather discovers a heart breaking reveal.
The Missionary also appears in Silent Hill: Revelation. In the film its appearance is slightly different to that in Silent Hill 3 and it is also female. Silent Hill 3 is my favorite because of Heather's amazing character. A teenager encounters her worst nightmare becomes her reality, and the coping with loss and revenge" - Tyler Pierce |

Unlike the first two games, Silent Hill 3 only has 3 endings. Those being:
The Good Ending:
In Which Heather plays a joke on Douglas that she is possessed and is going to Kill Douglas with the knife she is carrying. They then leave Silent Hill with the final scene of Heather visiting a grave.
The Bad Ending
The bad ending can only be given if this is the second time playing the game. In this ending Douglas is dead and it appears to be by Heathers hands. To get this ending you must also collect a certain amount of points from killing the creatures in Silent Hill.
The third ending is a comical UFO ending.
