
Silent Hill: Homecoming follows the story of Alex Shepherd an ex-soldier who has been discharged due to injuries. When he returns to his home town of Shepherd's Glen all is not what it seems. Many of the towns inhabitants are now missing including his Father and younger Brother. His Mother appears to be in a deep depression and hardly even notice his return. It is up to Alex to find his missing family and to bring his family back together.

Smog![]() The smog is very similar to the Straghtjacket from Silent Hill: Origins and Lying figure from Silent Hill 2. They appear to glow in various places as if their insides contain something burning. Their ribcage opens up and this can be used as an attack. Unlike the Straightjacket and the Lying figure, Smog's do not spit out acid but instead emit a black toxic smoke.
Needler![]() The needler is a human like creature with arms and legs made from long sharp blades. It's head hangs upside down and it walks on all fours. They attack by either slashing or stabbing their victims. They can attack in groups and are quick. Best to avoid as they are not the easiest of creatures to kill.
sCARLET![]() Scarlet is a boss that Alex must defeat. To begin with she is more human like. Her body is like a doll and can be cracked and destroy. She can attack in several ways. The main one being jumping on her victims. She can also strike by swinging her long arms at her victim. Before she is defeated she transforms into more a spiderlike creature and runs around on all fours.
feral![]() A Feral is a dog like creature that is found in various locations throughout the game. Similar to the Sniffer Dog from Silent Hill 4, Double heads from Silent Hill 3 and the Groaners from Silent Hill. Their appear to have no skin on their bodies and attack by jumping at their victims which can knock them down and then they bite continuously. They can also attack by jumping and biting and can attack in groups.

Siam![]() The Siam shares similarity's with the Closer from Silent Hill 3 and the Mandarin from Silent Hill 2. It appears to be two human like creatures that have been tied together using thick black tape. The front part being the male who has huge club like arms, the back part being the female. They are more ape like and attack with their arms and by charging at their victims.
Lurker![]() The lurker has large claw like metal hands and can attack with great speed. Although slow in getting around they attack by striking their victims and if close enough they can also knock their victims down by jumping at them. Their legs appear to be stuck together and they get around by dragging their legs and body across with their claws.
Asphyxia
![]() The Asphyxia is another boss Alex must defeat. It appears to be several female bodies fused together to create a centipede like creature. The Asphyxia can attack by striking with her many arms, swinging her tail like end at her victim, charging into her victim and also shrieking at them.
Nurse![]() The Nurse is very similar to the Nurses from previous games. They attack by slashing their victims with the weapons they carry. To begin with they are not all that fast, easy to avoid and kill. As the game progresses their attack become quicker and more damaging.
They can also attack in groups. Nurses can easily be killed with various weapons. |

Schism:
The Schism has a human like body with a long neck and bladed head. It's neck and head split to reveal sharp teeth. They can attack quickly and can cause a large amount of damage with their head. Best to avoid due to the amount of damage they can cause but can easily be destroyed with the shot gun.
Swarm:
The swarm are small bugs that can attack in groups. They only cause a small amount of damage and can be killed easily. They attack by biting onto their victims and draining blood.
Bogeyman also known as Pyramid Head:
Although not a direct threat Pyramid Head does make a brief appearance and is also included in one of the endings of the game.
Sepulcher:
The Sepulcher is the first boss that Alex has to defeat. To begin with it is hanging upside down and attacks with its large arms and by shaking debris from the ceiling. The first stage Alex must destroy flesh like sacks that are on the ground. Once he has completed destroying all the sacks the Sepulcher drops to the floor and once again attacks with its hands.
Amnion:
Amnion is the final boss that Alex must defeat. It appears to be a human like creature that is attached to 6 mechanical spider like legs. The human looking creature which is the main part of the body has a large belly which looks more like its pregnant.

The soundtrack to Silent Hill: Homecoming was released on November 24th 2008. It was not made available for retail sale and was a pre-order only exclusive. Once again composed by Akira Yamaoka, the soundtrack also features vocals by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.
