Released alongside the Bubble Head Nurse, this statue is 1/6 scale and is so highly detailed it looks as if it has fallen right out of the game. There are currently two variants of this statue available. The first being the Red Pyramid Thing having a Lying Figure in his hands. This is the statue I managed to get my hands on and I am so happy I did. The other variant of this statue we see him holding a Mannequin figure. This variant was only available at this years ComicCon and for a short period of time via the Toymunkey Studios website.
When he arrived through my door the first thing I did was look at the box art. The box is covered in a mixture of deep red and black. The back of the box features artwork by Masahiro Ito. A large image of the Red Pyramid Head adorns the back with his blade directly in front of him. The front of the box features the 9 small square windows that mimic the 9 save points in the game and both sides of the box contains information about Silent Hill and the statue itself. Along with Artist profiles for Shinya Akao who sculpted the statue and Yoshinori Yatake who painted it.
Underneath we can see that where you would expect his head to be is actually an abundance of billowing flesh, tightly packed under his helmet.
His clothing is worn and torn in several places. What appears to be aged blood stains are also present across his clothing. Just the amount of detail that has gone into his clothing is amazing. The creases and tears all add to how realistic this statue really is. The back of his clothing has two straps that disappear into the flesh under his helmet and directly down his spine is a zip.
His arms are muscular and dark, veins and what appear to be splits are all down them, right up to the dirty white gloves that cover his hands. Even the boots he wears have such detail added to them. A small zip is present on both with blood stains that shine in the light to give off the impression that the blood on his boots is still wet.
The Lying Figure looks like its struggling in his hands, ready to be killed by the blade in his other hand. It's legs are covered in small splits and cracks that also contain a slight tint of red in places. It's face has a shiny split directly down the centre which travels down his chest, stopping right before it's waist. The thing I noticed while looking at this Lying Figure is the outline of its arms and chin and what appear to be breasts. So I assume the Lying Figure we have here is in fact female.
Going back to the Red Pyramid Thing and his blade that he has in his right hand. His blade looks old and worn but still highly dangerous. The blades edge even has a small amount of detail to it. When you first take him out of the box, the blade is separate and slots into the handle which is already in his hand.
The Red Pyramid Thing statue is definitely impressive. The amount of detail that has gone into making such an amazing piece of art is incredible. Right from the tip of his helmet all the way down to the tiled base. Not a single bit of detail has been missed.
I purchased my Red Pyramid Thing statue from BigBadToyStore.com for $149.99.
If you are still yet to buy any of the Toymunkey figures make sure you definitely get your hands on this one!
