Just as the dust settles on Gecco's Silent Hill production line Medicom Toy pops up with a new Robbie the Rabbit figure that will be released in July 2015. Measuring approximately 300mm high, this Robbie is once again flocked and comes with a chainsaw, steel pipe and a stand for him to stand proudly on. Unlike the Gecco statues, it would appear that this Robbie is also pose-able which is a huge selling point for myself. He has been sculpted by Perfect-Studio and his clothes are made by Yumiko Noda. Although a little more than the Gecco statues, this guy is currently on pre-order for 22,130 yen which works out at around £122 or $191. Pre-order yours now from AmiAmi Will you be ordering one? |

![]() According to magazine scans I stumbled across on EstatuasLimitedEdition.com it looks like Figma's Red Pyramid Thing is due for release in April 2015. As you can see from the scans RPT looks fully possible and also comes with a spear, great knife and additional hands. He is also 20cm tall. Red Pyramid Thing figure includes: - Main figure - Base - Spear - Additional Hand parts - Head part for recreating scenes from the game The magazine scan does show an image of a Bubble Head nurse but no release date is shown and the only real information is that she will be 20cm tall. There has been no other news or even pictures of the Bubble Head Nurse figure that is also due to be released in the near future. You can pre-order your very own Figma Red Pyramid Thing from these links: Amiami priced at 3800 Yen Big Bad Toy Storepriced at $59.99 Hobby Link Japan priced at 4222 Yen Forbidden Planet priced at £54.99 Please note release dates may differ dependent on country release. Will you be picking up a Red Pyramid Thing? Figma showcased the Red Pyramid Thing figure at this summers Wonder festival 2014. As you can see from the images below he's looking pretty good!
No release date has yet been announced and from the looks of it no images of the Bubble Head Nurse have been released either. I'm really hoping both are released this year! You can keep up to date with all information on these figures via the official Figma Facebook page. ![]() In July of 2013 we were treated to the first look at a total of four new statues that Gecco were currently working on. The first of those four was released in January and that was of Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3. Along with Heather Mason Gecco also revealed a statue of Robbie the Rabbit also from Silent Hill 3. Robbie was released in March of this year (2o14) and was released in three different variants. The first being the regular blood stained Pink Robbie, this Robbie is widely available and if you pre-ordered it from Amiami.com it also came with a small tin of Green Tea. The second variant was of a Blue Robbie and is initially exclusive to Mamegyorai in Japan, limited to 3000. The final variant was only available to Figure King Magazine in Japan. This variant of Robbie features different box art and the statue itself contains no blood at all. Bloodless Robbie is limited to only 300 pieces. Fortunately for myself I have managed to get my hands on the Pink and Blue Robbie statues, with the bloodness version on its way also (mini review to follow upon arrival). All three Robbie statues feature the same style box art but with additional added detail. The Pink Robbie features souvenir style packaging from Lakeside Amusement Park, with small amounts of blood and rust across the box. The Blue Robbie’s box art is much more bloody and dark, the entire front is rusted and decayed. The back of the boxes contain a large image of four Robbie’s in a bathtub, the only difference being that the Blue Robbie box features one Blue rabbit in the tub and the Pink Robbie’s box contain all Pink Rabbits. The sides of the box contain sculptor information and also additional info about the games and Robbie himself. When you first open the box you can see that the tabs inside show instructions on how to put the included weapons into his hands. Included is a small sheet of clear plastic which you must wrap around the weapons before placing them into Robbie’s hand. This is to avoid the flocking being removed from his hands. The lid of the box also has a small card which contains the same image on the back of the box and information about the Sculptors and Robbie once again. The cardboard insert that is also a backing for the statue features the map of Silent Hill. The Pink version has blood splatters across it with the Lakeside Amusement Park circled. The Blue version however is almost covered entire in blood and is barely view-able. The statue itself is covered in flocking making him soft and fuzzy, this adds a more realistic feel to him being a soft toy or costume. He stands at approximately 34cm high and comes with a round base that is similar to the base that also comes with Heather. Unlike other releases from Gecco Robbie is also free standing so if you prefer you can keep Robbie off his base. I really like the amount of detail that has been put into making this statue. His face features blood stained cheeks and a shiny mouth and nose. His eyes are perfectly painted and have a glossy look which creates a small amount of innocence to this sinister bunny. The colour of his bowtie will either be green or yellow dependant on which Robbie you own but both will be blood stained. The buttons on his overalls are gold and shiny and although Robbie has blood all over him, these are untouched. His overalls also have a zip at the back right above a small round fuzzy tail. The chainsaw that is included also contains a large amount of detail. As you can see from the pictures it is also bloodstained and worn looking. The Chainsaw that is included with the Pink Robbie has the words "To you my dear" engraved across it. The Blue Robbie chainsaw has the words "Your Fingerpost". The lettering is actually carved into the blade and not printed onto it which I feel makes them stand out much more than if they were printed. As with Heather and the Bubble Head Nurses, Robbie also comes with a steel pipe, but lets be honest, a chainsaw is much cooler right? The weapons need to have plastic wrapped around them before placing them into Robbie's hand, this is to avoid the flocking from coming off. Although even with the plastic I found it difficult to place the weapons into his hand. If you were lucky enough to pre-order Robbie from Amiami.com and paid a small amount more for him, your Robbie also came with a tin of Green Tea. The tin features Robbie the Rabbit artwork and contains information about the rabbit himself. Luckily the exclusive tea version appears back in stock every now and again so if you're after this version keep checking Amiami as you may be in luck. I must admit that out of all the Silent Hill statues released by Gecco so far, the Robbie statues are by far my favorite. The amount of detail is outstanding and the adding flocking effect makes this statue a real must have for any fan. The initial Robbie statue design did have a more splattered blood effect across his face whereas the official release features a more symmetrical design and although there have been a few complaints because I this, I really do not mind his new look. If you're still to purchase a Silent Hill statue this is definitely the one to buy to kick start your collection. After taking pictures for this review I ended up placing the Robbie's back into their boxes as they really do look great in or out of them. If you're after your very own Robbie you can grab him from Amiami.com or for those of you outside of Japan, Robbie is due to be released worldwide May 2014. You can pre-order and get more information on where to purchase him from thefollowing distributors :

As you can see the boxes look amazing and I cannot wait to get my hands on both of these (and the souvenir version if I can get it). The Pink blood stained Robbie features rusty, blood stained art that looks like a souvenir style product. The Blue Robbie is much similar however the blood and rust are much more present. Gecco's Robbie the Rabbit is released in Japan this month, although it appears to be sold out everywhere. For those wanting to get your hands on either of them (or both) you can order them from: Diamond Comics Distributors Inc. (USA) Kolektakon LLC (USA) Abysse Corp (France) Fantasiland (Italy) HEO GmbH (Germany) ILOVETOYZ, INC (Korea) The Falcon's Hangar (Singapore) Please note release dates for orders outside of Japan vary with the majority beginning in May and some pre-orders may already be sold out. So what do you think? And will you be getting your hands on Robbie? Thanks to John Kubiak for this find! Check out his awesome Silent Hill collection right HERE ![]() Last year (2013) Gecco announced two variants of their Bubble Head Nurse and Red Pyramid Thing statues. These two variants were available at the San Diego Comic Con (2013) and also via the ToyMunkey website. Both variants are limited to 1500 pieces. Unfortunately for myself I was not able to attend Comic Con and I never ordered either statues from ToyMunkey studios. It wasn't until later into the year that customers began to notice that ToyMunkey were no longer answering emails or even sending out orders and thus the partnership with Gecco and ToyMunkey ended leaving a lot of customers out of pocket and without their orders. I assumed it would be a very slim chance that I would be able to get my hands on the mannequin variant. Until Big Bad Toy Store had them in stock and so I grabbed one as quick as a could and I have to admit that once again I am impressed. The mannequin variant has definitely replaced my liking for the original Lying Figure statue. Already being a huge fan of the mannequin figure, this was definitely a must! The box art features the statue on the front with the nine square windows that allow you to look directly into the box (these nine squares mimic the nine save points in Silent Hill 2). Both sides of the box also contains sculptor and game information. The artwork on the back of the box features an image of the Red Pyramid Thing created by Masahiro Ito. The Red Pyramid Thing statue itself is exactly the same as the original statue with the only difference being the Mannequin creature that he is holding. The whole thing is lightweight and made from PVC. The detail is once again superb and the Red Pyramid Thing really does look amazing. Focusing on the Mannequin creature the paint job is extremely well done, the back of the mannequin is bloody and sore looking. It's legs are cracked and worn, small blood like specs are present and even the lines around where you would expect the feet and legs to connect are visible. It's 'arms' are much more smooth and shiny than its legs, these look as if they are taken from a genuine mannequin and as we move closer to the main body of the creature you can see small holes that I would assume are meant to show where the 'arms' connect. The back of the mannequin also has a small round button in its back which you can see in the pictures below. The base of the statue is the same as its original design, its tiled and features a few loose tiles on top. I like the base more with this statue as the 'arms' of the mannequin are close to the loose titles which suggest while it was trying to break free it knocked the tiles up. I also really like how the mannequin's body seems to wrap around the Red Pyramid Thing. It's 'arms' go underneath his body while one of its leg wraps itself around his side/back. Overall the mannequin seems much larger in length than the Lying Figure variant. One of the first things I noticed when opening the box was that the small card that is included with all Silent Hill Gecco figures is different. With the other three Silent Hill 2 statues the artwork included on the card was the same as the artwork on the back of the box. With the mannequin variant the artwork features the famous scene where the Red Pyramid Thing appears to rape a mannequin. The back of the contains once again contains information about the statue and it's distributors. Out of all the Silent Hill 2 statues that Gecco have released I would say that this one is by far my favourite. Being a huge fan of the Mannequin creature had already made this a huge must for my collection and so to finally have it has made me very pleased indeed. This statue is limited but still available at various online stores. You can purchase this statue from Amazon and Ebay however prices are rather high. Big Bad Toy Store have the Mannequin statue up for pre-order, priced at $179 Game-Legends also have the Mannequin statue available for € 269.98 You can check out my review for the original Red Pyramid Thing statue right HERE
Gecco announced this morning via email the new distributors for their Heather and Robbie statues. All three statues will start to ship in May this year and are avaiable for pre-order now, however pre-order time is limited with some distributors closing pre-orders as early as March 10th.

The Bubble Head Nurse is limited to 1500 pieces and was previously made available via their website. It has now sold out. Luckily I managed to get my hands on one and although you may be thinking the only differences appear to be the red boots and facial features you are far from right! Before I even took the nurse out of the box I could already see the differences this figure has to offer. The box for one comes with different artwork at the front. Once again the 9 small squares windows have been included however instead of a faded image of the Bubble Head Nurse upon a red background we see this time the nurse against what appears to be a decaying backdrop. Her red boots being the focal point of the front. The box art also contains the same information that has been included with the original Bubble Head Nurse statue along with the image of the nurse standing proudly on the back. As you can see from the back of the box the Nurse also has her red boots. As I looked at both boxes I noticed the original nurse image on the back has her wearing white suspenders and boots but as we all know the original nurse statue did not come with boots at all. Maybe they changed this at the last minute? The Red Bubble Head Nurse comes with quite a large number of differences. The most obvious being the long red boots that just about reach the bottom of her dress. They are a deep blood red colour and have been painted so perfectly that they almost look like they have been made with real leather. The base she stands on is very similar to its original with the only real differences being the blood spots. Instead of their being bloody footprints, this time there is just general spots around her feet. The grate is also much more shiny and gives off the appearance of it being wet. Her skin is much brighter than the original with less veins and much more colour. She has a paleness to her that almost looks as if her skin is real. Once again beautifully painted with no lack of detail. Even her dress appears to have deeper tears and extra detail. Her name badge appears to have a name on it this time that reads 'Sandrega'. Where this name originates from is a mystery as all searches I have conducted have revealed nothing. The nurses face has quite a few differences. The first one being the obvious red ball like thing over her mouth. The folds of skin at either side of her face are much more defined and her neck is greeted by what appears to be some kind of choker. Her skin around her head is deeper in colour this time, giving the impression of her being chocked. Unlike with the previous nurse release this time she comes with an additional head. At first I didn't think the head could actually be removed as it is tightly placed on top her head. Eventually it did come off and I managed to replace it with the additional head piece. This head also comes with the chocker around its neck but instead of the red ball across her mouth we can see a mouth and nose. Even the sunken areas of where the eyes should be are visible. With this additional head it adds a further variant to the line of Nurse's and actually makes me want to purchase one more nurse so I can have all three on display. Once again she comes with additional hands so you can decide what hand she carries her steal pipe. The small card that is included with the original nurse is also included but this time isn't numbered. Instead where the individual number is, are the words 'Limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide'.
I am definitely impressed with the Red Bubble Head Nurse statue and would happily recommend it to anyone. If you already own the original nurse then you really should get this one too! I managed to get mine from amazon for £123. Bigbagtoystore.com already have them for pre-order at $149.99. You can also purchase the Red Bubble Head Nurse from Game-Legends.com for € 189.98 This is definitely another great piece from Gecco and Toymunkey studios. ![]() The Gecco Bubble Head Nurse statue is a real thing of beauty. Taken directly from Silent Hill 2 the nurse stands at 9.8 inches high and is 1/6 scale. Beautifully painted with such detail, this is definitely one for the fans. The packaging for the nurse statue is a collectors piece all in itself. Coloured with deep reds, the box features an image of the nurse designed by Masahiro Ito. The front uses the famous 9 square save image from Silent Hill 2 as a window to see inside the box. The statue itself is light weight and easy to piece together. Inside the box contains the Nurse, a stand, two pairs of hands, an imitation steel pipe and 3 black clips. These clips are so you can attach more than one Nurse figure to the base to create an additional scene. The statue comes with two pairs so you can have her hold the steel pipe in either the left or right hand dependant on personal choice. I have chosen to go with the steel pipe in her left hand. The packaging also contains a full list of all the people/companies involved in the production and release of the figure. It also has two small profile sections with a brief description about Shin Tanabe, the Sculptor and Yoshinori Yatake, who is the painter. Along with these profiles the box also contains information about Silent Hill and the Bubble Head Nurse. The base she stands on has a small protruding stud that her foot attaches to. As with the nurse even the base is detailed. Bloody footprints, a cracked floor and even a small section that looks like a metal grate. The Nurse statue itself is highly detailed. Starting from her feet upwards you can see small specks of blood on her shoes to coincide with the bloody footprints on the floor. Her legs are pale and covered in small veins. Her dress is creased and dirty, torn in places with small blood specks here and there. She also has on a small name badge but her name is unfortunately not visible (I call her Cynthia). Her body leans to the one side to replicate her movements in the game. Her detachable hands are painted to look like they have gloves over them. They have even been given a glossy, shiny look as if they are in fact made from rubber. The steel pipe she brandishes in her hands also looks like real metal. As with the original Bubble Head Nurse we see in Silent Hill 2 the skin on her face overlaps. Her chest, like her legs is also covered in veins. What appear to be small cracks in the skin on her face replace where the mouth should be. The detail that has gone into the tones and colours of the flesh make it look all the more real. Even her small hat has creases and lines that give off a realistic look. This figure also comes with a small card that is attached to the inside of the box opening. It contains a small amount of information on one side with you own figure number. The Nurse I received is Number: 00024. The other side of the card has the same image we see on the back of the box. In comparison to previously released Silent Hill figures this really is something else! The work that has gone into making such an amazing piece of merchandise is astounding and I am extremely pleased with what I have received. Prices for this statue vary, however I managed to purchase mine from Bigbadtoystore.com for $104 You can also purchase the Bubble Head Nurse from Game-Legends.com for € 149.98. This is definitely one for the fans and a real must! To keep up to date with all Silent Hill info, why not like SHP on Facebook? Click HERE
